Vietnamese summer roll rice paper sheets are super thin edible wrappers, designed to be filled with finely sliced vegetables, rice noodles, cooked chicken or juicy prawns and fresh herbs. The translucent, glutinous wrappers are made with a combination of rice and tapioca.
Before using the summer roll rice paper, dip in warm water to rehydrate the sheets, then fill, roll into a neat parcel and dip into a sweet, sour, salty nước chấm sauce, made by combining fish sauce with rice vinegar, sugar, water, garlic cloves, red chilli and lime juice.
Each rice paper sheet measures 22cm in diameter. There are roughly 30 sheets in the 250g packet, and 60 sheets in the 500g packet.
Ingredients: Rice (70%), tapioca (16%), water (13%), salt (1%)
Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place. Once opened, place in an airtight container.
